What to expect from a Tarot Card Reading

Tarot card readings always begin by the subject or third-party reader shuffling the tarot deck and laying the cards facedown into a pattern or ‘spread’. Each tarot card’s position in the spread is specifically numbered, and the cards are then turned over in this numbered sequence. This is because the position of each card determines what aspect of the subject’s life the card refers to.
